Turns out Nintendo’s forthcoming PokéBall Plus accessory, which functions as a Joy-Con controller for the Nintendo Switch and can also be connected to the Pokémon GO mobile game, is full of surprises! According to a news post discovered by Serebii on Nintendo’s Japanese website, the PokéBall Plus will spin PokéStops automatically when connected to Pokémon GO, as long as the player has a Pokémon saved inside the device. Players can transfer a Pokémon from the upcoming Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokémon: Let’s Go Eevee video games for Nintendo Switch into the PokéBall Plus to walk with them in the real world and collect additional in-game rewards.
The auto-spin feature will please fans of Pokémon GO, making it much easier to collect rewards such as PokéBalls, berries, items, and eggs from PokéStops in the real world. This isn’t the first surprise feature of the PokéBall Plus to be announced, as Nintendo previously revealed the accessory will ship with the mythical Pokémon Mew inside, which can then be transferred into the player’s Switch game.
The PokéBall Plus accessory retails for $64.99 CAD and ships on November 16th alongside the release of Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokémon: Let’s Go Eevee for Nintendo Switch.
